Strike Pitcher Version 1.0
The intent of this text is to highlight the differences between the two versions of the Strike Pitcher software. Those aspects of the software system that are universal to both versions such as basic data input and navigation will not be addressed.
In this embodiment of the system , the Strike Pitch Trainer 1.0 represents the core of the software systems functionality, purpose and is designed and configured to assist coaches and scouts in the training and evaluation of the pitching prospect.
Training is accomplished by engaging the prospect in escalating training modules provided by the system or custom designed by the operator. Detailed outlines of the training modules are provided in the “System Specific Training Objectives for the Use of the Strike Pitch Trainer” and are attached.
Evaluation of the prospect is embedded in the functionality of the software. Basic evaluation tools are provided in the 1.0 version and advanced evaluation tools are provided in the 2.0 version of the program.

Basic evaluation tools of the 1.0 version:
- The ability to project the image of a batter and an associated strike zone.
- The ability for the system to provide seasonal statistical information on projected batters.
- The ability to in-put statistical information on captured batter images.
- The ability of the system to provide (default) pitch plans or for the operator to custom designs a pitch plan.
- The ability to tract the flight of the ball to determine the location of the pitched ball for scoring purposes.
- The ability to measure the speed of the pitched ball.
- The ability to compare the speeds of the various pitched balls so as to ascertain the difference in the speeds of the balls pitched.
- The ability to display a score in the performance of the prospect
- The ability to provide a performance rating and ranking system.
- The ability to store all performance information in a local and central data base system.
- The ability to receive via the Internet, a comprehensive package of pertinent information associated with the pitcher’s performance.
